Day 11

Seriously we are not getting the luck of the weather, we had planned on stopping in Winnipeg for 2 nights yesterday when we arrived it poured with rain but we were not too bothered because we knew we had the next day to explore, well we did have a nice meal in the “Keg” which is the second time in that chain of restaurants, the food was lovely and we avoided the rain in the evening, we woke up this morning went down for a hearty breakfast ready for the days excursions, and then bam the heavens opened and it didn’t look like it wasn’t going to give up any time soon, so, pissed off, we thought there was no point just sitting in our room all day, so we checked out and prepared ourselves for the boring trip across the prairies. Well it wasn’t long before we felt like playing chicken with trucks to keep the level of interest up and try to prevent ourselves from falling asleep, OMG what a pain in the arse, (literally) sitting in one spot for hours on end without even having to turn the steering wheel, we had about 700km to Regina and we decided to do it. So there are no photos today I am afraid because we just wanted to get to civilisation. We set off at 10:30 this morning and got to Regina and our hotel at 5:00pm well thats what we thought it turns out we went through another time zone so we are now 7 hours behind the UK.

Off out tonight for a well deserved beer and something to eat, as luck would have it the hotel is right next door to another “Keg” restaurant, so we might pop in there, who knows. But Its Saturday night and we are definitely having a cheeky beer or 5.
